Consul Generals and Istanbul Mayors marched for peace

Following the terrorist attacks happened in Istanbul, European consul generals from Europe in Istanbul gathered together to condemn the Brussels attacks along with the participation of several Istanbul mayors.

Including Misbah Demican, central Istanbul’s (Taksim) mayor, many other consul generals and mayors stated that they have gathered together to be the voice to sat “no” to terrorism and let peace and diplomacy resume. One of the Istanbul mayors, Murat Hazinedar, whilst answering journalists’ questions stated “We are here because we are bound to find judicious solutions to what’s been happening in the world. We need to be together and stay strong, to overcome the terrorist attacks. This is no longer an Istanbul, Brussels or any other city’s issue, this is now a global concern. We all need to learn to act without the hold of political profits and be united.”
