Famagusta’s best musicians of all times performed an unforgettable concert for their audience in London.
As a musician himself, Gökay Uçar organised the event which accommodated musicians all the way from Cyprus and even America. The event was sponsored by London Turkish Gazette, Euromed Maritime and Cyprus Garden was renowned as being its only kind of an event along with being a potential annual event. Kurultay Akbay, who is a master guitarist from Cyprus stated that the same event shall be repeated in Cyprus too in August.
LEGENDRARY NAMES MET
The thrilling event gathered 3 legendary names Ersen Akbay, Özcan Mustafa and Doğan Ahmet. Despite his old age, the “master of the guitars” Ersen Akbay mesmerised the audience by his skills. Feveranlar, a famous band from the 1960s, came to the event all the way from America specifically for this event. The musicians also received their honorary awards from the organisers.
ALL AGES ENJOYED THE MUSICAL FEAST
The event comprised Turkish and English songs along with Ahmet Öykener and his talented son Ekin Öykener, which received a lot of interest. Despite his past illness incident, Harper Akbay also stole the show withhis performance. In the night, previous Northern Cyprus Minister of Internal Affairs Teberrüken Uluçay played the drums. Other artists who performed at the night were: Harper Akbay, Gökay Uçar, Ersen Akbay, Kurultay Akbay, Mete Denizer, Hüseyin Katkın, Hasan Korkut, Teberrüken Uluçay, Ahmet Öykener, Ekin Öykener, Bülent Kelebek, Ferahzat Mustafa, Derviş Kırca, Erdoğan Yorgancı, Hüseyin Cemgünal, Ahmet Böhlül, Ali Gabak, Tanju Gürsu, Bülent Ali, Babutsa Sone and many more.
