Davutoglu was protested in London, once again. Prime Minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, faced protest from Turkey’s citizens in London – as Turkey has refused to halt its siege on its Kurdish regions, which has seen deaths of many, including many civilians.

Various groups, including Day-Mer and community organisations, joined together in front of the Rics in Westminister – which housed the Syria Donors Conference: Supporting Syria & the Region, London 2016.

Heavy Police presence kept the protestors at bay, covering all entrances and exists of the building and the surrounding areas.

“Davutoglu represents the government who supports terrorists [ISIS],” said a spokes person Democratic Youth Organisation.

UK prime minister David Cameron has said that the UK will be doubling its aid to the UN appeal in 2016.

“We will also help to provide greater certainty for the long-time; I can announce that Britain will commit at least 280 Million pounds a year from 2017 to 2019…[…]…Britain will play its part and I know countries here today will play their part,” Added D.Cameron during the conference.

The demonstrations were completely peaceful, with occasional chants against the ‘Turkish state’; “Down with the Turkish state”.

No arrests were made among the 100 or so people who attended.

A smaller protest of up to 10-15 people, with Syrian flags and banners, calling for “peace in Syria”, was held a couple hundred meters away from the main protest.
