Wood Green Cineworld was host to the premier of the well talked about Turkish Movie Kocan Kadar konus, on Thursday 7th January 2016.
The night was organised by the women’s association IMECE, appropriately, as the central theme of the movie is about the role of women in contemporary Turkish society.
Besiktas Cultural Centre (BKM) was also accompany to the organisation and funding of the premier.
The movies stars – Ezgi Mola, Murat Yildirim – director, Kivanc Baruonu and BKM’s general secretary, Zumrut Arol, attended the premier.
Movie popular among women
Both young actors, Ezgi Mola and Murat Yildirim, expressed their joy of receiving a lot of attention from the largely female audience; both actors condemned violence towards women and expressed the view that men should be raised ethically, educated well enough to understand, not only the importance of the opposite sex as mothers, daughters or sisters but as women, as individuals.

Umit Bozdag from London Night Promotion and Tourism Office; Baroness Meral Ece-Hussein , the founder of the IMECE and the president of a large number of non-governmental organizations, also attended the opening screening.
Actors said that they were very happy to have a foreign premiere: ”First time we have come to London . BKM jointly organized the event with IMECE; We are very happy to contribute for there important event. The woman herself is important for good family environment, consistant of healthy societies. Therefore, our revenues from tonight will be given donated to IMECE . We also had a premiere in Cologne and Rotterdam. Thank you very much for your interest,” said actress, Ezgi Mola.
The night ended with a closing speech by representatives from IMECE Women’s Centre.
