North Mids ‘devastated’ by toddler death

A North London hospital has said it was ‘devastated’ by the death of a three-year-old Turkish boy earlier this week

Armağan Denli died at North Middlesex Hospital last weekend

North Middlesex Hospital said a full investigation was underway into the treatment of Armağan Denli, who died there last weekend.

His family said earlier this week that they held the hospital responsible.

But the hospital said it could not talk about Armağan’s treatment to anyone other than his family.

In a statement sent to Londra Gazete, the hospital’s director of nursing, Paul Reeves, said: “We offer our sincere condolences to Armağan’s family. The team of doctors and nurses who treated Armağan in our A&E on Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning are devastated by his death.

“As with all child deaths, a full investigation has begun but has not yet concluded. We will share all the results of these with Armağan’s family as soon as we can but we owe them a duty of confidentiality and cannot disclose the details of these findings to others.

MESSAGE TO THE TURKISH COMMUNITY

“We are also committed to working with our partners in the Turkish community to ensure the care we give is always responsive to their needs and meets their expectations.

“We want to reassure them that we are totally committed to providing first class care for all our patients and that we value their support.”
