THE UK Hair and Beauty Awards are the UK’s leading industry awards and aim to celebrate small businesses operating in the industry across the country. This year’s finalists were invited to the VIP red carpet final event with celebrity hosts and entertainment on 21 and 22 April in Birmingham.
Successful young Eliz Moustafa has achieved significant success by participating in the British Hair and Beauty Awards. The Turkish Cypriot who’s family and comes from a family of Mora and Mehmetçik origins. With a degree in psychology, Eliz has always been creative and has decided to follow her passion.
Eliz states that she is happy that she even managed to become a finalist among 12 thousand applications and expresses that it is surprising that she was unexpectedly deemed worthy of the Regional and National first prize.
Chelsea Ruby, the lead judge of the makeup award, states that she appreciated the raw and unedited imagery of Eliz’s work and her inclusivity to all skin tones. Eliz says this is something she feels serious about and is always realistic with her clients, doesn’t over-edit or photoshop, and is a huge advocate for diversity. That’s why it’s really rewarding that it’s finally appreciated, she says.
Speaking to Londra Gazete, Eliz, who is planning a masterclass this year, said she hopes to advance in television and commercial make-up and continue to serve her bridal clients. She also wishes to combine her background in Psychology with her passion for makeup and to help people feel better inside and out.
