LONDON’S Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Representative Oya Tuncalı shared her message May 19th message for the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day message.
The day normal celebrated together with the young members of the community in London is once again celebrated from afar for the second year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The torch of independence, lit by the great leader Atatürk, on May 19, 1919, resulted in victory with the determination of the Turkish Nation and as a result of this national struggle, the Republic of Turkey was established. Happy 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day as presented by Atatürk to the Turkish Youth.
Today is the 102nd anniversary of the day when the national will, spirit of unity and togetherness was born. The National Struggle of the Anatolian People has acted as an inspiration for the Struggle for Existence of the Turkish Cypriot People.
Youth means energy, new ideas, dreams and courage…
For this reason, our country is greatly enriched from your energy and enthusiasm, thoughts and ideas as well as courage in the fields of science, education, economy, arts and many others. Your determination and commitment will steer our country towards better tomorrows.
While commemorating Atatürk and his brothers in arms with respect, I wholeheartedly wish everyone, particularly our youth, a happy 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
