Pokemon Go “goes viral”

The new iOS and Android game ‘Pokémon GO’ has become popular over the world, first being released in the USA, New Zealand and Australia. The game had to be fully checked before entering the UK app stores this is because of the incidents which had taken place.

The game has caused a lot of problems this is because many incidents had happened whilst playing the game, a 28 year old man had driven into a tree whilst searching for a Pokémon, a girl had trespassed an area and found a body ın a lake and many thefts have been happening, this is either by hacking into peoples accounts and creating a fake location for them to search or getting ready for people who turn up at different ‘pokestops’, a man was held at gunpoint and a man in New Zealand was said to have quit his job when he downloaded the app to take a break and become a Pokémon hunter, searching areas all over New Zealand .

After these incidents the game makers had published a few rules on the game these include ‘don’t tress pass on private property’, ‘beware of your surroundings’ and ‘don’t look for Pokémon’s while you’re driving’.

Pokémon GO has become a worldwide game with its popularity increasing every day. The aim of the game is to collect Pokémon’s which are in real life areas, they can be found at landmarks, areas in your location or near you.
