ATHPA (Anglo-Turkish Health Professionals Association) HEALTH WORKERS have attended a world medical convention where members of the directory association represented Britain’s Turkish doctors in Istanbul Turkey, between 29-31 October, 2015.
The event held in Istanbul was the Second World Turkish Medical Convention, where ATHPA members Professor Psychiatrist Dr. Yenal Dündar and General Secretary Professor Dr. Ayfer Kahraman represented the health workers in Britain. This important convention was also attended by professionals who have been successful in their fields from Europe, America and Australia.
Dr. Dündar Dr. Kahraman explained to guests that in England they are the only official association for Anglo-Turkish Medics and are continue works of success. They also introduced and promoted ATHPA, as well as giving information on the current works going on. Dr Yenal Dündar and Dr Ayfer Kahraman representing ATHPA took place in the Civil Community Organisations Group. There were important agenda matters which were debated and brought to a decision within the group.
Debated matters included the health systems in Turkey and abroad, health problems of Turkish Citizens living abroad, the quantity and quality problems of health services, health insurance, health tourism, balance of diploma, the information dealings of the Civil Community Organisation’s role and how communication will continue with the Ministry of Health.
Topics discussed included aims for guests from aboard and them gaining high knowledge and experience will be of benefit in some way, in particular the time after members of the Turkish community’s therapy in Europe, their check-ups and possible complications that could occur, the adaptation and integration of Turkish immigrants in Europe and what community works can take place, on this topic the decision for communication to be made with the World Medical Association and topics of health education in emergency cases was decided.
Alongside this, meetings to be made within the Turkish Medical World Conventions will be sure to give a part to the Civil Community Organisations Workers Group, the communication between the Turkish background health workers in Europe to be made better by a communication network being formed and a mutual agreement for the sharing of knowledge and experience between one another on topics as well.
From now on ATHPA has announced that they will attend the conventions as ascendants and continue to work with the Ministry of Health.
