THE Kahramanmaraş UK held the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the British Kahramanmaraş People’s Education and Culture Association over the weekend where it was announced that the association, which aims to reinforce solidarity as well as continue its activities in the new period without slowing down.
Afşin Mayor Fatih Mehmet Güven also attended the 3rd AGM Ali Kılınç, the founding chairman of the association, used the following statements in his statement on social media: “… I would like to thank all our founding members and especially our Afşin mayor Fatih Mehmet Güven and Yunus Kaan Kısa for their presidency and their correspondence. Our new president, Nevazat Kaya, was elected, and I wish success to him and the new management, and I am always with them as the founding President.”
The British Kahramanmaraş People’s Education and Culture Association, which started its activities at Unit 1, Foulden Road in Stoke Newington, where the Turkish population is densely populated, in November 2018, held various informative and social events for its members and the people of the region during a one-year period. It was announced that the association, which aims to gather the people of Kahramanmaraş in England under the same roof and strengthen unity and solidarity, will continue its activities in the new period without slowing down.
