BORN in 2018 in Antalya with a cesarean section, Siamese(conjoined) twins Derman and Yiğit Evrensel were separated after a series of surgeries in London, where they were sent under the support of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife, First Lady Emine Erdoğan.
Derman and Yiğit, who have been in London since December of last year with their mother, returned home on Wednesday, June 3rd after having a number of operation to be separated over the past 6 months.
Living in Alanya the twins’ partners are 34-year-old housewife Fatma and her 45-year-old husband Ömer Evrensel who works in the tourism sector, the twins were born on 21 June 2018 by cesarean. The male Siamese twins, named Derman and Yiğit, were sent to their homes after they were checked over by doctors at the Akdeniz University Hospital New Born Intensive Care Unit.
