HAVING a significant audience in Turkey, we all got to know Bertuğ Cemil with his amazing song ‘rain’. Bertuğ has now been living in London for more than a year.
As Londra Gazete we asked Bertuğ Cemil various question in regards to new projects and why he chose to live in London.
How did you London adventure begin?
My wife always mentioned the bright side of London to me, one day in Turkey there was a terrible attack where 44 people lost their lives hence, in that period there were a lot of violent acts occurring in Turkey. We chose to move to England to provide a safer environment for our child to and better education opportunities. In regards to my music, I did not have high goals for my first year in London however, I had the opportunity to play in various venues and events. We formed a nice crew here.
What are your plans for the future?
We are planning to do various potpurring projects with my friends. We will prepare this Project for events which will be in Turkish and English. We are also planning to work with agencies here, we made a single album with a very talented young friend called Serhat Kıvrım which I’ve done the editing for. I played the guitars and we sang the song the together. The video clip is ready and will be published in a month. After a long time, I am happy to be able to pursue ambitions in music, especially in London.
