The Limasollular Association UK organized its traditional iftar dinner at Che Men Restaurant to mark the holy month of Ramadan. The event, attended by the association’s members and guests, once again highlighted the spirit of social solidarity and mutual support.

Among those present at the iftar were Association President Kenan Nafi and his wife, Çatı Chairwoman Münevver Borova, Selen Mehmet from the Metropolitan Police Association, and numerous other guests. The program commenced with an iftar prayer led by Hüseyin Elbakai.

Later in the evening, donations, including fitra and zakat, were collected from attendees. It was announced that these contributions would be used to provide holiday clothing, shoes, and other necessities for disadvantaged and disabled children in Cyprus, as well as to support elderly and ill individuals.

In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, the Limasollular Association UK selected Meryem Biricik as the “Woman of the Year” during an event held at Che Men Restaurant.

Cypriot businesswoman, educator, and author Meryem İtinat was also a guest at the event, where she signed books and met with readers. In appreciation of her participation and book signing, she was presented with flowers as a token of gratitude.

The evening also included a surprise birthday celebration for Emine Aziz. The event was hosted by Duygu Tağmaç, who, in the opening speech, expressed gratitude to all the guests and contributors. Special emphasis was placed on the significance of Meryem İtinat’s presence, as she had travelled from Cyprus for the event.

During the gathering, the Limasollular Association UK reiterated its commitment to social solidarity and preserving cultural values, while also extending its appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the association’s growth and activities.
