TURKISH students studying in different universities across the UK and who have received a scholarship by the Ministry of Education, came together with the Ministry of Education Undersecretary Yusuf Tekin, at a meeting held in London.
On 22 January 2018 with the participation of the Undersecretary Yusuf Tekin, the meeting was held at the Kesington Millennium Hotel in London, the General Director of the Ministry of National Education and Foreign Relations Funda Kocabıyık, MEB Higher Education and Education Director General Bülent Çiftçi, Education Consultant Hasan Ünsal and Local Clerk Bünyamin Bayat also participated.
Noting that they had organised similar events, but for the first time they had organised such a wide gathering, Ünsal thanked the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Yusuf Tekin, for coming to London to listen to the problems of the students, and also said:
“This is the first time I’ve been involved so intensely. Our esteemed undersecretary and general managers are here to listen in particular to the issues, demands, and firsts. We thank them. I greet you all with respect. ”
“YOU ARE NOT ALONE”
There are 4,000 Turkish students in the world and 219 in England. Noting that no student living abroad is alone, Undersecretary Tekin added:
“We are here to help solve the problems of our students, which have come to England for educational by overcoming various difficulties, we are here to ensure that you are not alone.”
The event continued with students asking questions and raising issues they face.
