ON THURSDAY 30th TCCA held an event which looked at how Brexit will effect Turkish Cypriots living in the UK.
ON THURSDAY 30th TCCA held an event which looked at how Brexit will effect Turkish Cypriots living in the UK. It considered issues such as immigration, access to; public funds, health care, work and education.
Three Key members of the community headed the panel Yashar Ismailoglu (Honary Chair of TCCA) Behiye Karaman-Naci (ABS Solicitors LLP) Ilker Kilic (Former Republican Turkish Party (CTP) president). Following a short presentation from each of the Panel members, the floor was opened to questions from attendees. Questions raised looked into issues like energy prices, education, relationship with Cyprus and travel.
The event was attended by over 40 members of the community and following the closing statement by Yashar Ismailoglu, there was an opportunity to enjoy refreshment and network with each other.
