Turkey and Northern Cyprus became the focus of attention

THE WORLD Tourism Fair, which welcomed tourists from all over the world, was full this year as well.

The Exhibition, which attracted many visitors with intense participation from Turkey and Northern Cyprus, also welcomed tens of thousands of visitors. This year markers the 37th year that the exhibition has taken place and in attendance was The Turkey and the KKTC Minister of Tourism and Culture. Ministers Numan Kurtulmuş and Fikri Ataoğlu, who supported tourism, one of the most important sources of income for Turkey and Northern Cyprus, visited tourism fairs and visited the stands. The 3 day fair, which started on Monday, November 6, came to an end on Wednesday evening of November 9.

60 PARTICIPANTS FROM TURKEY

This year, 60 exhibitors from Turkey participated in the World Tourism Fair. The area of ​​783 square meters allocated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Republic of Turkey had the opportunity to communicate with thousands of people for 3 days and to tell them about their services. Participants including tourists, tour operators and public organizations expressed that the exhibition was very productive. Numan Kurtuluş, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey came to the exhibition area on the second day and visited both the participants and members of the press. On the second day of the fair, a photo exhibition on Turkey based in the field of National Geographic was also opened and a conference about Şanlıurfa’s tourism potential and Göbeklitepe excavations was organized.

NORTH CYPRUS MOST LIKED

Like every year, stands of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus took their place at the fair, receiving good attention by the visitors. Designed by Othello Castle and Cypriot village house in Famagusta, the stand included a number of important symbols such as a model of a village clay oven, a mill, fountains and wine crushing sites. A stand was set up to show case Cypriot food and beverages which were offered out, along with handicrafts work, cattle baskets and chair knitting arts are also exhibited for visitors to see. Standing in a space of approximately 205 square meters, there were also tour operators and hotels. On the second day of the fair, TRNC Tourism and Environment Minister Fikri Ataoğlu was accompanied by TRNC London Representative Zehra Başaran.
