THE statues of the ‘Alikko and Caher’ duo, whose
ULEZ SET TO EXPAND ACROSS names are written in gold letters for the Cyprus
Turkish theatre, come to life in the park in Nicosia,
North Cyprus. The ‘Alikko and Caher’ duo played by
ALL OF GREATER LONDON Osman Balıkçıoğlu and the late Kemal Tunç have
now been created into statues by Ceramic Sculp-
ture Artist Sevcan Çerkez. On Wednesday 9 March,
Balıkçıoğlu attended the opening ceremony where
he shared a post side by side with his statue say-
ing: “Today, the statues of me and Kemal Tunç, as
Alikko and Caher, were inaugurated in the Kuğulu
Park in Nicosia. I posed with my statue in front of
