In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Hackney Council has joined forces with The Startup Kitchen to host a free all-day event to help the borough’s budding entrepreneurs.
The Council’s free Hackney Entrepreneurship Conference will give entrepreneurs and small business leaders tailored advice and direction to get a business successfully off the ground.
Starting at 9am on 14 November, the Conference will feature an array of support, mentoring, workshops and panel discussions from a stellar line-up of local and national business leaders. Workshops will cover important principles for any business, including; marketing, branding, finance, project management, contracts and even how to set-up as a social enterprise.
Whatever the business or idea – from design, fashion and hospitality to tech, music or something entirely different – the Hackney Entrepreneurship Conference has something for everyone.
Held across the three floors of Hackney House in Shoreditch, attendees can pick ‘n’ mix workshops such as; how to design and make a personal brand effective, how to engage an audience, planning and presenting financial forecasts, an introduction to Social Enterprise, project management basics and a crash course in dealing with contracts.
The event will conclude in the afternoon with a panel of six entrepreneurs and business leaders who will share their journeys to success, followed by a 30 minute question and answer session.
