Mustafa Akinci react to Cypriot Greek leader

North Cyprus President Mustafa Akinci said, “If the Cypriot Greek people are not going to accept an federal government with term by term Turkish and Cypriot Greek presidents, under a federal system, then this thing is not going to work.”

His temperament moved in the direction of the Cypriot Greek leader Nicos Anastasiades: “Unfortunately, the Greek Sides’ approach is a deal-breaker for us.”

“Any approach that may dent the peaceful approach to talks should be avoided”

Akinci, holds the view that the solution should be within the will of both parties, Cypriot Greek and Turkish. He added: “Anastasiadas, who claims that both sides have ‘agreed’, is only looking at things through is window.”

Speaking to the the Rum Politis newspaper, Anstasiadis said, “term presidency from both sides is an issue that is on the table. However, for certain, we do not accept this.”
