London Fair

It can be said that it is safe to say, London has become the art capital of the world. With the phenomena of re-generation – gentrification, as some call it – a spurge of artistry transformed parts of London (especially East-London) into an artistic hotspot.

It comes as no surprise that the curators of the London Art Fair choose to host the event every six months – a sway away from the usual annual events.

The Business design centre, Angel, London, hosted the the half’s Art fair, bringing artists, art galleries and enthusiasts together.

Walking into the main entrance astonished us with the immense business of the fair – almost like a maze when observed from above, the exhibition filled with people exchanging in the air of art; curators informing guests on artist(s)’ work.

London based Turkish artist, Guler Ates, did not have her work presented. “We choose different artists to exhibit, so we tend to have different names every event,” said a spokesperson for ArtFirst, the Gallery that exhibits Guler Ates’ work, which is currently on display until mid-February.
