Game of thrones has added its second ethnically Turkish actor to its long-list of stars: Tamer Hasan.
Speaking during last week’s premier of Breakdown, the established actor revealed that he has taken part in the popular show, Game of Thrones, 6th Season, due to be realised on HBO sometime in April.
“I just finished doing Game of Thrones. I loved it. I can’t say too much about it but I’m part of that.
It’s exciting what you’re going to see. Learning that Dothraki language was a feat in itself… so I’ve given you a little bit, but I’m not going to say too much!,” said Mr. Hasan to Showbiz.
The actor told loaded.co.uk that his character had a significant impact on the show: “I play a Dothraki warrior, a leader … It’s not a regular role or a major role, but the impact of what I do is epic … What I do affects the main characters. Really, it’s massive. A lot of people around me die. I didn’t die.”
According to Tamer, negotiations between him and the show have been taking place since the first season; however, an agreement was never reached until now.
“I actually was a little bit angry because I’ve met for Game Of Thrones for every season but it never worked out. When you look at the show, how do I not fit in? It’s just one of those ones that I could never seem to get, until now.”
Tamer Hasan has secured sections in the credits of 50 movies, including many cult flicks, during his long – 16 year career: The football Factory, Clas of the Tittans and The business.
Sibel Kekili sparked her Game of Thrones career as a guest actor in an 1st season episode, only to return during the second season, ending her time in the set when she was killed of in the 4th season of the show. Mr. Hasan is now the second, popular Turkish actor/actress on the popular program, after Sibel Kekilli – both playing a vital role.
