Hackney Homes to Give One Month Free Rent

A CHRISTMAS COMPETITION launched by Hackney Homes is giving away one month’s rent free of charge to tenants. The competition comes just ahead of the festive season and is to encourage tenants to prioritise their rent at such a busy time of year.

For the chance to win the prize of the competition, tenants must have a clear rent account with no payments outstanding on 10 January 2016.

Cllr Philip Glanville, Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “Christmas can be a demanding time for all of us and we want to remind tenants to continue to pay their rent over the festive season and throughout their tenancy.”

He added: “We understand the financial pressure put on many during this period and this free rent prize draw offers tenants the chance to get off to a great start for the year ahead.”

Rent payments contribute to maintaining services provided by Hackney Homes, investing Hackney’s housing stock as well as improving communal areas.

The easiest way to pay rent is by direct debit. Tenants wanting to set up a direct debit or having difficulty paying their rent can contact the Income Services Team on 020 8356 3100.
