TURKISH CYPRIOTS ARE in mourning after another valued and important member of the North Cyprus community has died. Turkish Cypriot academic Dr. Tözün İsa has died at the age of just 59. Dr. Tözün İsa who had complained of having breathing problems in the last couple of months, suffered a blood clot in the brain and was taken into Croydon University hospital, in the last few weeks. The blood clot caused him to suffer a stroke and lose all feeling and movement in the left side of his body. On Tuesday evening 17th November, the news of Dr. İsa’s death came. He was married and a father of two sons.
WHO WAS DR. TÖZÜN İSA?
North Cyprus born Dr. Tözün İsa, arrived in England in the 70s, he graduated in Teaching from London’s South Bank University. Since 2003, he worked as an education office in the faculty of Education at the London Metropolitan University. He carried out research on several topics and even published books.
