VOTEERS HAVE INCREASED as the Turkish Citizens of London took to the Ballot boxes to cast their votes for the 26th General Election in Turkey to take place this weekend on Sunday 1st November, 2015.
The UK saw approximately 33,560 voters cast their votes right across Great Britain on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October. England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Galler saw 32, 519, voters in London and 1042 voters in Edinburgh out of the 86,655 voters.
YOU STILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO VOTE
In an announcement made by the Turkish Embassy in London, London saw almost 5,000 voters on the first day, almost 4,500 on the second day, almost 9,250 voters on the third day and a total of 13, 826 voters on the last day making a total of 32, 519 voters. They also thanked each individual for voting. The announcement also stated that those who didn’t get the chance to vote, can still vote until 17:00 on Sunday, as long as they are registered citizens of the international voting registry.
THE ELECTION WITH THE MOST VOTERS
Turkish voters living in the United Kingdom first voted in the President of the Republic of Tukrey election, in 2014. Then the total of voters in London and customs was 11,621 people. The 25th general elections was the second time internationals voted and a total of 28,650 people. Yet last Sunday saw the highest number yet, totaling 32, 519 people voting in the 26th general election for Turkey.
