The President of the Coordination Committee of Turkish Cypriot Associations (NOTCO), Osman Ercen, and the members of the board made important announcements following the Turkish Cypriot Culture and Arts Festival held on June 25, 2023.
As the board, NOTCO had pledged to support the “Champion Angels Foundation,” which provides significant services to preserve the language and culture in the UK, Turkish schools, and efforts to keep the community’s youth together, in memory of the young Turkish Cypriot students how lost their lifes in the Turkish earthquake back in February.
On the evening of October 2nd, Ercen, the President of the UK Turkish Language and Culture Consortium, school principals, and members of the Turkish Community Football Federation board gathered. This meeting provided an opportunity not only to evaluate the activities carried out but also to discuss future projects.
During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the importance of supporting each other in order to progress and achieve goals as a community. NOTCO stressed that taking care of the youth and culture is a community duty and expressed their determination to move forward in unity and solidarity.
NOTCO announced their support for the Champion Angels Foundation will continue, jerseys will be sold with processes being donated to Champion Angels Foundation.
