PARENTS at Kingfisher Hall Academy in Enfield, North London, have started a signature campaign at a protest they held outside of the school.
On Monday, February 28, at 2.30 pm a group of parents protested in front of the school and protested for the new principal to be appointed.
A parent who participated in the protest said: “The current principal is leaving his job to go to another school, we want equal conditions for the assistant principal, and we want the current assistant principal to be appointed to the position of principal. About 120 signatures were collected.”
In a statement by the school, it stated that deputy headteacher will also be departing the school for a new role elsewhere at the end of the month, while their headteacher will be departing in July.
Saying “To cover the role of Headteacher, while the recruitment process takes place, we announced the appointment of a very experienced interim Head of school. You will have the chance to meet and get to know her during the Summer term.”
