21 year old Merve Nur Ucar has just successful completed her Law degree with a 1st from University of Central Lancashire. The 21 year old student living in Manchester, England traveled for hours every week to and from her home and university daily. Even with the struggle of daily commute from city to city with dedication she completed her 3 years with a remarkable 1st.
Speaking to Londra Gazete Ucar said: “I was born in Manchester (UK) but I am originally Turkish and bilingual. Writing and creating an argument has interested me in law. I studied law because it touches almost every aspect of human life. Through my studies I’ve learnt that this includes buying something from the shop or even simply stalking someone online. I think being able to know and identify the law has enabled me to see life in different angles. Human relations are put into an order as a result of the value of justice. Today, there is too much inequality and injustice in the world and we need to put a stop to this inequity. I hope to make a difference to people’s lives and have a positive impact on the society around me. I had not actually set my mind on getting a First Class at the start of university but as I made progress I gradually thought it could become a reality. I wanted to make my parents proud but it was my interest in law that kept me going. I know now that believing in yourself is the first step to success. My university experience has been challenging, I have learnt and experienced so many new things along the way. All the tutors at Lancashire Law School are amazingly helpful and supportive! It’s hard to believe that I’m now a UCLan graduate, it has gone by so fast. My next aim is to gain legal work experience. By 5 years’ time I hope to have completed my Master’s degree and become a qualified solicitor at a national firm.”
