Well known and loved in particularly by the Turkish Cypriot community, ‘The Balıkçıoğlu Kabare’ which carries the name of Osman Balıkçıoğlu, will be showcasing a new show called the “Huzur evine vermeyin beni” (Don’t give me to the nursing home) a tragicomic theatrical play will be performed on March 25th at Millfield Theatre in Enfield, London.
The show will be showcased on Sunday 25 March at 7.30pm .The play written by Osman Balıkçıoğlu and directed by his wife Şadiye Balıkçıoğlu will be performed by Artun Gökşan, Hüsnü Kişi, Hasan Aziz Özöncü, Fatoş Cagin, Fatma Kemal and Osman Balıkçıoğlu.
Speak us here at Londra Gazete, Balıkçıoğlu spoke about the play “Huzur evine vermeyin beni” (Don’t give me to the nursing home) which touches more social problems which is sometimes drowns the audience laughter:
“It’s a tragicomic play “Huzur evine vermeyin beni” (Don’t give me to the nursing home). There are many different characters in it. Today’s social problems refer to many issues such as theft, perspectives on drug minorities, racism. But it’s a story about the life of an actual Alzheimer’s patient. There are also scenes from time to time that is sad but generally, we have a pleasant time where the audience will cry in laughter. ”

Balıkçıoğlu as mentioned that they will be donating all their income of all their plays they have staged up to now, the income from this play will also be donated, he also added:
“Instead of making profit ourselves in all the plays we perform, we prefer to donate the money we earn, the profits we make to charities. In this play, we will donate the money to the ‘Londra Yardım Melekleri’. (London’s helping Angles) ”
