THE OPERATION perused behalf of Turkey was protested by hundreds of people in London. The protest was organised by the Defend Afrin Platform which was supported by Kurdistan Solidarity campaign.
Defend Afrin Platform called hundreds of people to meet in front of the BBC and the protesters marched towards Trafalgar Square.
During the protest many slogans were chanted such as, “UK stop supporting Turkey” and “Afrin will be the end of Erdoğan.”
Known to be one of the biggest trade union Unite also showed support to the protest and the spokesman Tommy Murphy stated that along with 1.4 million members of Unite, they are in solidarity with the Kurdish citizens in Afrin.
