A CHARITY night and concert event were organised in London by the Turkish Educational Foundation (TEV) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with the aim of providing support to families suffering from the mining accident in Soma.
A CHARITY night and concert event were organised in London by the Turkish Educational Foundation (TEV) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with the aim of providing support to families suffering from the mining accident in Soma.
The event took place on the waterfront of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development at Liverpool Street and there was a great amount participation from the public.
A short footage was presented of the families living in Soma also the donations collected during the concert were transferred to TEV SOMA hope fund.
On the event which was organised to show support to the families and relatives which lost their loved ones from the mining accident in Soma, the English artist Amelia Hope and Turkish singer Onur Sevigen performed a beautiful musical banquet that was enjoyed by the listeners.
It was reported that from the donations received during the event, 165 children who were affected by the mining accident will be provided a lifelong scholarship for education.
