Many Muslims met and celebrated the beginning of Eid that marks the end of holy month Ramadan in London.
Many Muslims shared their happiness over the Eid festivities and prayers, marking the end of Ramadan by getting together firstly at the morning prayers and then getting on with the traditional Rid greetings. Local Turkish speaking mosques Aziziye, Turkish Religious Affairs and Süleymaniye mosques brought many faces together as a part of Eid celebrations and prayers. Opening up their prayers in the early hours of morning, thousands of Muslims got together at the mosques.
The high level of attendance also saw extra Eid prayers to accommodate everyone in the prayer halls. Getting on with their prayers, London’s Consul General Çınar Ergin and Turkish Embassy Secretary Cem Işık were seen at the Aziziye Mosque.
