Turkish politics and business people met on iftar

Independent Business People Charity (MUSIAD UK) organised an exclusive iftar event bringing many acclaimed business people and politicians together.

Attending, were Turkish Embassy Ambassador Abdurrahman Bilgiç, Northern Cyprus Representative Zehra Başaran, London Consul General Çınar Ergin, Consulate Secretary Cem Işık, Trade Secretary Aytuğ Göksu and his deputy Enes Tekcan, Yunus Emre Institute Director Mehmet Karakuş, London Mayor Deputy Matthew Ryder and Hackney Council Councillor Mete Çoban were seen at the event.

Speaking also on behalf of London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Deputy Matthew Ryder delivered “happy iftars” to the guests.

Abdurrahman Bilgiç, on the other hand, in his speech remarked the importance of UK and Turkey trade deals by stating that the two countries share record number of trade that falls into 17 billion dollars.

The iftar came to an end with Burhan Aygün hoca’s prayer from Süleymaniye mosque.
