LONDON’S Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) is
to be expanded to cover all of London, the mayor
has announced, despite “overwhelming” opposi-
tion. From 29 August, drivers of the most pollut-
ing cars will have to pay £12.50 a day to enter to
the Greater London Authority boundary. A public
consultation found 80% of people in the affected
areas were opposed the expansion of the zone. But
Sadiq Khan says five million more people will ben-
efit from cleaner air. “The ULEZ so far has been
transformational, reducing harmful pollution levels
by almost a half in central London,” Mr Khan said.

Turkish UK Golf Society organised
a tournament in Antalya

THE Turkish UK Golf Society held a tournament in Be-
lek, Antalya between 12 - 19 November. In a statements
to the Londra Gazete Turkish UK Golf Society President
Ahmet Orgen stated that the tournament held in An-
talya in November was successful. The newly established
Turkish UK Golf Society in 2 short months has around
40 members in a short and has achieved significant suc-
cess by organising a tournament in Turkey. Speaking to

pose is to instil the game of golf, especially among young
people, and added that they aim to increase the number
