The Turkish-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TBCCI) organised a UK Turkey Cross Border Legal Agenda event on 16 November 2016 to explore and discuss the key timely items that define the cross border legal considerations relevant to trade and investment between the two countries.

The TBCCI in association withRadcliffesLeBrasseur, Patron Member of the TBCCI, presented the fifth in the series of Cross Border Legal Issues events. This panel-seminar aimed to provide information and discussion about the key UK-Turkey Cross Border Legal matters directly affecting businesses and individuals. TBCCI Chairman Emma Edhem CC emphasised the relevance and importance of these events aiming to facilitate bilateral trade and investment between Turkey and the UK. She added that these initiatives help support the current sustained momentum in the interest and progress in Turkish-British bilateral business.

In this setting, the TBCCI Chairman also draw attention to the relevance and importance of the UK-Turkey Business Forum that the TBCCI has organised in Istanbul on 2 December 2016 at the Swissôtel The Bosphorus. She said that the focus at the Forum this year will be on the most current and pressing matters as dictated to us by our Membership and institutions and business associations both in Turkey and the UK.

The speakers and panellists include the European Union Affairs Minister of Turkey, the Turkish and British Ambassadors, HM Consul-General Istanbul, Deputy Mayor of London for Business (invited), DEIK, HSBC, ISPAT, Rolls Royce, BAE, BP, Arçelik, No5 Chambers, IBM, KoçSistem, ODTÜ Teknokent, Zenium Technology, Ernst & Young, APCO Worldwide, London and Partners, RadcliffesLeBrasseur, Shakespeare Martineau, Legal Attorney & Counsellors and Rational Foreign Exchange.

TBCCI Chairman Emma Edhem CC concluded that the services offered by the TBCCI like the London Cross Border Trade and Investment Legal Agenda event and the Istanbul Forum on 2nd December, reflect and maintain the status of the TBCCI as the leading platform and a driving force for business expansion between the two countries.
