Many political figures, including both British and Turkish nationalities, have released press statements supporting HDP in the wake of recent events of MP arrests in Turkey.
Amonst the politicians, were Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn, who called AKP government to Show respect to Kurdish people whilst Joan Ryan MP for Enfield of Labour released a long statement condemning the recent events.
Releasing a statement, Haringey’s Turkish/Kurdish mayor Ali Gül Özbek called upon a wakeup call, especially for the UK government to take an action and not stay silent to the Turkish agenda.
Many others from different London councils such as Ali Demirci, Makbule Güneş, Haydar Ulus, Adeline Kepez, Nesimi Erbil, Güney Doğan, Ayşegül Erdoğan, Nurullah Turan, Suna Hurman, Peray Ahmet, Emine İbrahim and Feryal Demirci also shared their support with HDP.
