According to The Guardian, the 27-year old was held for 24-hours by a counter-terrorism unit on suspicion of the possession of terrorist material.

According to The Telegraph, Miners used multiple Facebook profiles under different names to talk to jihadists. They further write:
All the Facebook accounts allegedly linked to Miners have been “friends” with an Isis recruiter in Syria called Abu Usamah al-Britani who is trying to recruit a new generation of jihadist brides from the West.
Miners denies the allegations and claims it’s a case of stolen identity.
Miners also denies converting to Islam and expressing desire to marry a jihadist. However
