UETD (Union of European and Turkish Democrats) UK and UK authorities organised a trip to Turkey to strike important connections in the country.
A group of Labour, Conservative, and Liberal Democrat Party members along with a group of journalists visited Turkey, talking to the community and authorities in Süryani and Alevi communities in Diyarbakır, east Turkey. Visiting Şanlıurfa, the group collected insights on the refugee crisis and information regarding the refugee camps in AFAD HARRAN Container town.
The group also went to the capital, Ankara to be present at the Turkish Parliament to tackle pre and post-coup agendas with AKP MPs Dr Kani Torun, Ravza Kavakçı and Sena Nur Çelik. Finalising the trip, the group also struck meetings with AKP Vice-Chairperson Dr M. Mehdi Eker.
