The event that attracted a high level of turnout, North Cyprus’ recent representative Zehra Başaran also attended the event by talking and greeting everyone one by one. TWPA’s president Sinem Arıca, in her speech, said that TWPA prides themselves on being the very first Turkish women charity in the UK and they shall be extending their horizons by reaching out to more people with offering a wide range of facilities that women can use.
Zehra Başaran, in her speech, said:
“When I was a little kid I witnessed North Cyprus’ difficult times throughout the 50s and 60s. It is an honour to be serving as a representative in London and dealing with the foreign affairs for North Cyprus”
Towards the end of the day, Neva Buselik Turkish music choir got the guests an earful musical feast with a delicate selection of Turkish traditional music.
