27th Day Mer Culture and Arts Festival will take place on 8 June Wednesday with a reception.
As Hackney’s longest festival, in collaboration with Turkish, Kurdish and English labourers, will use arts and culture as the vital tool of life, living and communicating. The festival will comprise many sub-events and some will be devoted for children’s’ enjoyment. Live music, children festival, children theatre and theatre plays will be some of them alongside serious panels and conferences on contemporary politics and issues. In the festival’s agenda, there will be many artistic exhibitions like the one on refugees at Calais Jungle Camp. The festival will last until 3 July with the Park Festival closure events.
Festival’s reception will be at London Community Centre at 6.30pm on 8 June Wednesday.
