TEACHERS DAY has been celebrated by the Turkish General Consulate in London, where both Turkish academics and students studying higher education came together to celebrate at a reception in Knightsbridge.
TEACHERS DAY has been celebrated by the Turkish General Consulate in London, where both Turkish academics and students studying higher education came together to celebrate at a reception in Knightsbridge.
The reception hosted by Head Consul Emirhan Yorulmaz, saw many academics, international students studying in England, consulate employee and representatives of education associations across England.
Head Consul Yorulmazlar speaking at the reception, expressed his congratulations to the large number of teaching staff and wished them every success in their teaching careers.
He said: “Today we have come together and met with all of you to help our students who are studying here in England from abroad and also to continue this partnership with yourselves and to aim to meet other university academics and students.”
He continued his talk and underlined that all the Turkish academics and students in the UK are each a representative of Turkey, he said: “With the strength of every young and educated person from Turkey in the near future will play an important role at both area and global level, I want you to all know that for our country’s future you will all play a crucial part in us progressing together.”
“In the upcoming period we will be making the Turkish associations at universities in gaining events and forming projects together and making progress will be one of our top priorities. There are also plans for universities in Turkey and the international mission Turkey has taken on to be better understood.”
