HEAD OF TURKEY Baros Association Metin Feyzioğlu, has given a talk on the law system in Turkey and the Freedom of Expression and Press.
The talk took place last Thursday (1 October) evening at the England Baro Association building where Turkish speaking lawyers and members of the community in London came together. He began by saying how pleased he was at being invited as a guest and being in London at such an event.
“Freedom of Expression is the seed of freedom”
“When you remove all other freedoms, freedom of expression, comes under greater threat, including the right to life.” Said the Professor Feyzioğlu, managing the limited political rights of freedom of expression and the public itself that limit the right to live in democracy, he added.
Feyzioğlu said that the most important and fundamental freedoms of lawyers to freedom of expression can not be used without the right to defend freedom of expression, so that there can be pointed out that the legal security forces against the sovereign power of any individual or society.
