TWO THIRDS of British Fathers have a secret bank account, a new poll has revealed.
The poll shows that two-thirds of fathers in Britain hold a second account containing on average about £2,500 which nobody knows of. Conducted by a team at website VoucherCodesPro, the poll was answered by 2,146 men aged 18 and over as part of research as to how honest Britons are with their partners about money and bank accounts.
“I think our study has revealed some extremely worrying stats that can only end badly. Whilst I think it is important for couples to have independence with their finances, it is not healthy to be secretive about it,” said George Charles of VoucherCodesPro.
Results found that 64 per cent of British fathers have a secret bank account and over half of them have had the account for three years or more. The poll found that almost a quarter of those who had a secret bank account opened it to fund a secret affair.
Mr Charles added: “The most concerning findings is that a high number of British fathers have secret bank accounts to fund affairs.
‘If you are not happy in your relationship then you should be honest, not lie and cause more hurt and pain for loved ones.”
