TRNC President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, met with Kenan Nafi, President of the Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations (CTCA) in the UK, along with his guest.

During the meeting, President Tatar highlighted that the CTCA is the largest umbrella organization representing Turkish Cypriots in the United Kingdom. He expressed his appreciation for the activities carried out by the council and acknowledged the success of Turkish Cypriots in various sectors across the country.

President Tatar emphasized that, in today’s era of communication, interactions have increased, further strengthening the ties between the TRNC and the UK. He underlined the importance of supporting cultural and historical connections, noting that thanks to the associations in the UK, awareness of Turkish Cypriots as a distinct people with their own art, history, language, and religion has grown. Acknowledging the struggle for recognition, he expressed his gratitude to the CTCA President and wished him continued success.

President Tatar also emphasized the ongoing efforts to promote the TRNC and advocate for the just cause of the Turkish Cypriot people. He stated that they will continue to work with determination to share the truth with the world and strengthen cooperation in this regard.

Kenan Nafi, President of the CTCA, expressed his gratitude to President Tatar for the meeting and underscored the importance of raising awareness of the Turkish Cypriot cause. He reaffirmed their commitment to this struggle and invited President Tatar to the 8th Turkish Cypriot Cultural Festival, which will be held in London in June. Nafi emphasized that, as in previous years, the festival aims to amplify the voice of Turkish Cypriots and make their existence more visible. He also highlighted their dedication to preserving Turkish Cypriot culture and history, vowing to continue their efforts. Nafi concluded by expressing his belief that Turkish Cypriots will continue to strengthen their unity and cooperation, moving forward as one voice and one heart.
