On Saturday 25th January a tree planting ceremony will be taking place in memory for the Şampiyon Melekler (Champion Angels) in north London.
The event which is been organised and sponsored by Euromed Maritime will give the Turkish Cypriot and wider community a chance to remember the young athletes, children and teachers who travelled from Gazimağusa, Cyprus to Adıyaman, Turkey but tragically lost the lives in the deadly earthquakes which hit the region on February 6, 2023.
The tree aims to be ‘a reminder of their spirit, their love, and the light they brought into the world’ organised to honour the memory of the children who tragically lost their lives in the devastating earthquake in Türkiye on February 6th 2023.
Special guests attending the event will be the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and the Şampiyon Melekler Association chair Ruşen Karakaya.
The event which is open to all, will be taking place on Saturday, 25 January at 1pm at Trent Park, Main Entrance Cockfosters Rd, Enfield, London EN4 0JY, the closes strains station to the park which is within walking distance sis Cockfosters Station, Piccadilly Line and as well as 298, 299, 384, 307, 699.
