Bozca-Der, established 15 years ago, continues to hold its traditional breakfast events every Friday, offering carefully prepared regional dishes to its members free of charge. The latest event took place on Friday, October 4, at the association’s building, drawing strong interest from both members and guests.

Bozca-Der President Turabi Keskin summarized the organization’s founding philosophy as “keeping our community in the UK united and contributing to a life in line with our culture.” He emphasized the importance of these gatherings, saying, “The primary reason for coming together is to prevent our youth, who are our future, from drifting into unhealthy lifestyles and to protect them from harmful habits.”

Known for its dedicated work, Bozca-Der is actively involved in cultural and educational initiatives that help shape future generations and serve as a central hub for the community, where members share both joys and challenges and seek solutions to their problems.

Bozca-Der aims to strengthen social and cultural ties among compatriots and enhance solidarity. It holds the distinction of being the largest hometown association operating in the UK.

It is estimated that around 3,000 individuals, comprising approximately 700 families from the villages of Bozhüyük and Camiliyurt, live across the UK. Bozhüyük, which was one of the most populous villages in Gürün District until the 1940s, saw significant migration in later years. Many of its residents moved to major cities like Istanbul and Izmir, while a considerable number also migrated to European countries. London remains one of the primary cities where many Bozhüyük villagers have settled.
