Woman has ‘serious injuries’ following Wood Green collision

High Road, Wood Green, has been closed for over two hours after reports of a pedestrian being hit by a lorry today (April 10) at 4.5pm.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital to be treated for her serious injuries, the Metropolitan Police said.

The force added that it is working to inform the next of kin and specialist detectives are investigating the incident.

The road has been shut both ways from  Gladstone Avenue to Alexandra Road.

Multiple bus routes are also being diverted from the area including the: 29, 67, 121, 123, 141, 144, 184, 221, 230, 232, 329, W4.

A spokesperson added: “There are several road closures in place in both directions on High Road, N22. As a result there are currently bus diversions in place.

“We are working to inform next of kin.

“Specialist detectives are investigating the incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD 4949/10April.
