SEMRA Eren-Nijhar’s two books on the Cypriot poet Osman Türkay have been released in both English and Turkish by Ozan Publications.
The author, poet, and sociologist Semra Eren-Nijhar’s latest two books, “The Poet of Space: Osman Türkay” and “Millennium Poet Osman Türkay,” have been published in Turkish and English by Ozan Publications.
These books, which have been published in two languages as separate volumes and are based on extensive research, encompass Eren-Nijhar’s work on Osman Türkay, an expert on the poet, for the past twenty-three years. Her first book on Osman Türkay was published in 2011 and, due to its significant reception, saw its third edition in 2015, reaching a wide audience.
These two books, dedicated to Osman Türkay, an acclaimed poet, writer, researcher, and two-time Nobel Prize in Literature nominee, contain his poems and literary works along with writings penned by close friends, literati, and journalists. Furthermore, they include interviews conducted by Semra Eren-Nijhar with her friends about the author.
The release of these two books, “The Poet of Space: Osman Türkay” and “Millennium Poet Osman Türkay,” is expected to revive international recognition for Osman Türkay and, as a pioneering effort in its field, reach a broad readership.
Both books, published by Ozan Publications, feature a foreword by the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, as well as contributions from numerous diplomats and Çimen Keskin, the TRNC Ambassador to London. The launch of these two books is scheduled to take place in Nicosia, Cyprus, in the coming months.
