On Wednesday thousands of workers strike from tuber workers, teachers and junior doctors calling for better pay and work conditions.
In London, Day-Mer called on the community members to join the strike and show support saying ‘More than 500 thousand workers and public workers who went on strike in coordination are preparing to take to the streets on March 15, those fighting against racism on March 18.’
In a statement, they said “The prices of basic consumer goods, especially food, break new records every month. The salary or benefits we receive; are not enough to meet our food, fuel, rent and transportation expenses. Due to inflation and rising prices, which break new records every month, one in five working people in the UK has to be fed from food banks to avoid starvation…”
“ In addition to the strike, more than half a million workers and public employees will take to the streets with demonstrations and marches they organized all over the country that day. Receiving the rights of striking workers and public employees will increase both the quality of services that we and our children benefit from, and our living standards. The rights won as an organization will be the gain of all of us, not just the workers and labourers who went on strike.” They said.
Saying the new Migration Bill prospered by Home Secretary Suella Braverman “divides the common struggle of local and immigrant workers and to blame the austerity policies they continue to implement as a political choice on immigrants…”
