Over the weekend, thousands of community members attended the 11th Alevi Festival.
The bank holiday week saw crowds flocking the festival’s 3-day outdoor event which this year took place from Friday 3 till Sunday 5th at the British Alevi Federation’s (BAF) headquarters in north London.

Under the leadership of the BAF, the British Alevi Cultural Center- Cemevi (İAKM- Cemevi) and the Enfield Alevi Cultural Center (EAKM), the festival under this year’s theme of Peace and Justice was held between 29 May and 5 June.
During the week receptions, panels and talks took place while closing off with the outdoor park festival was held. Within the scope of the festival, the Cemevi semah group performed with Seher Ağbaba, Davut Ağbaba and Ali Arslan. As part of the festival, an Alevi show exhibition, panels and performances were also held at the İAKM Djemevi.
