Food aid to Ukraine from the Turkish-speaking community

OVER the last 2 weeks across the world and in the UK millions have been donated and well as countless items were collected to be sent to help aid Ukrainian refugees, as well to Ukraine following the Russian invasion. The United Nations has called for aid to Ukrainian immigrants due to the humanitarian crisis from the countries. According to UN data, by 7 March, 1.5 million Ukrainians left their country.

The Turkish-speaking community in London was among those sending humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Tradesmen and citizens in London supported the food aid organized under the organisation of Two Six Homes.

Mustafa Derviş, director of Two Six Homes, who gave information to the Londra Gazete, used the following statements: “All donations will be sent directly to the Ukrainian Polish border by ‘Boxers Barbers’ in Wickford, Southend. Three trucks were arranged to go directly there on Thursday, March 10. Thank you to all local residents and business support. We hope that donations will support all refugees in this difficult time and show the support of the Turkish community.”

Two Six Homes heard about one of many donation appeals currently going on when Boxers Barbers rang in a spoke with LBC and got to work setting up a drop point for Londoners and the members of the Turkish Speaking Community leave a donation which will then be sent to Ukrainian refugees at the Polish border.
